Music lessons for kids

INTRODUCTION

What is the ideal course of a person? It is to seek love, truth, virtue and beauty. Each parent desires to help their children developing their abilities as human beings.
In order to succeed, a parent has to perceive their position not as a role, but as a natural outcome that stems from their own maturity.

 

For sure, the course of each parent raising their child cannot be a static process; undoubtedly it evolves in time. In essence a parent "grows" along with their child and "learns" at each moment, each minute, how to be a better person.

Our own abilities may have not been developed as much as we would like or have dreamed of; we may not have been given equal opportunities on learning, however we should not forget that we have all been born with a natural ability to learn.

If our skills have not been properly developed, we should develop them ourselves. The progress of our children starts from us!

 

The beginning

Musical skills do not come from an innate talent, but it is a skill that can be developed.

Any child that has been properly trained can develop musical skills, exactly in the same way they develop their ability to speak their mother language.

Each child's potential, which is truly infinite, can be formed depending on the way they are brought up and taught.

When a child learns how to speak, their parents are essentially their teachers. So, why can't a parent be a teacher for their children on whatever the subject? That does not mean that parents will substitute a professional teacher. Quite the opposite, parents can now contribute as an invaluable partner to their children's education. For example, if a parent wished to learn how to play music, but has never been given the chance, it is a great opportunity now to get to know the world of music alongside their children. They a

re being presented the chance to set the necessary basis of musical training and through the first steps already to get to know above all the capabilities and the weaknesses of their children.

In order for a parent to be able to understand what it is that their child has learned, they themselves have to firstly engage with that very learning process. W

ithout losing time and with steady steps parents can transmit the knowledge they bear to their children, in a simple and fun way. Let us not forget that quest is the starting point of knowledge.

The method I am about to present is based on the piano, but that does not mean it cannot be adopted on any other instrument. Always based on the same learning principle, mainly aiming not only to teach music but to shape good, and noble people.
